Candidate will assist in performing server and PC systems installation and maintenance for RDTE customers and customer computer labs.

Other duties include: System admin support- Install and maintain server 2008/2012 and Windows 7 workstations, perform daily/periodic back-up requirements, apply system patches, perform systems scans and ensure proper installation and testing of all systems and peripherals, Coordinate with IA auditors, apply tests and troubleshoot STIGs. Candidate must work well in a team environment and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
An AS degree (or equivalent) in IT, Engineering, Math or Computer Science - or military equivalent and demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and assembling Microsoft server and desktop PC system solutions on DoD or Commercial contracts. A minimum of Five (5) years of experience with Microsoft and/or Linux servers and PC systems computer operations, deployment, installation, hardening, scanning and experience with PowerShell and scripting is desired.

Candidate must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements and possess Security + and MicroSoft OS certifications within 6 months of hire. Must also be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a current U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance and CAC card to perform this work.

Unusual or Special Physical Requirements of Position

•Working at a computer or desk (considerations: sitting, eye strain, hand strain)

•Rack mounted computer equipment in raised floor computer room environment

•Use of hand tools and electric screwdrivers will be required

Description of Work Environment

•An inside office environment (Considerations: Closed quarters, lighting, and temperature fluctuations) and working in computer labs.

•Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills

•Need to work well with, co-operate, and support clients, supervisors, and co-workers

Equipment and Machines Involved in Work Tasks

•Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation\

•Computer Servers and encryption equipment

•Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed

Criticality of Attendance

•Normal hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:00pm, non-flex Fridays 7:00am to 4:00pm

•Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines

•Regular attendance is necessary and required

•Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to the employee or others

•Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance required

•Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements - secure a Security +, and current Microsoft OS certification on 2008 server or MS Seven within 6 months of hire

•U.S. Citizen and possess U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain CAC card is required.
