We are currently looking for an experienced Piping Designer to join the ENERCON Team in our Palm Beach Gardens, FL office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform piping and pipe support design in support of fossil and nuclear power plant design changes by planning and designing design changes to required specifications, focusing on quality, safety, economy, constructability, reliability, and sustainability.

In this role, your Key Responsibilities will be to:
• Function as the primary piping designer for assigned projects in the preparation of design changes developed in accordance with ENERCON and Client procedures. This shall include the development of the piping and pipe support design drawings necessary for the installation of new or modified piping systems.
• Provide input and direction to junior level designers/drafters in support of the assigned design changes
• Perform field walk-downs in support of design changes
• Interface with internal and Client staff (engineering, document control, implementing organizations, etc.) as required during the design change development and approval process
• Provide general design and drafting support to the mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural disciplines as necessary.
• Support drawing changes necessary for identified field changes and project turnovers

As a qualified candidate, you will meet the requirements listed below:
• Associates Degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience centered on piping and pipe support design for industrial facilities
• 3D design and modeling experience is preferred
• Demonstrated experience utilizing AutoCAD is required. Additional experience in MicroStation, Plant 3D, SOLIDWORKS or other industry standard CADD software is desired.
• Broad knowledge in the mechanical/electrical/civil/structural design of nuclear power plants is desired
• Knowledge of codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to various aspects of piping design
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Thorough attention to detail during document development regarding proper spelling, grammar, clarity, organization, logic flow, and format

Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may occasionally require a client site assignment lasting several months at a time.
