You will be part of ABB Discrete Automation and Motion, Motors & Generators, in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and sell AC Motors and Generators within a wider business area all around the globe. Most of our production is for export. We are the world leader and continue to expand within new and existing areas.

All ABB medium voltage induction motors are tailor-made to meet the needs of each customer and application. Built on the most successful modular motor platform, each motor not only meets a wide range of application requirements but also offers the flexibility to enable highly specific configurations. Our motors are installed all around the world and our customers' expectations are that we are as global as them.

As sales engineer you will be responsible for making technical and commercial bids to accounts worldwide. It is a global team consisting of several co-workers who support each other and share our mutual interest in increasing sales and win market shares. Some of your main tasks will be to transform customer specifications into technical and commercial tenders, support our global sales organization, have contacts with our customers and assist with market intelligence.

This position will give you opportunities to visit our international clients and local sales offices. A few successful years in this role could also be a good starting point if you want to grow into a technical sales specialist or into an area sales manager position.

You have a Bachelor or Master in Engineering, maybe within Electrical or Mechanical engineering, and at least three years' work experience from technical assignments related to sales, strategic supply, project management or similar.
It is an advantage if you are familiar with electrical calculations and technical project management. Fluency in English is required and knowledge in Swedish preferable. Knowledge in other languages is also be an advantage since you will work in an international environment. A technical profile is essential to succeed, together with a great interest in worldwide sales and customer focus. You are service minded and have high attention to details. Adding to this, you have a flexible approach to problem solving and teamwork.
