Job Description
Position Overview

Provide technical support for Mechanical Drives Assembly, Test and other Value -Add operations. Establish, Monitor and Improve manufacturing processes and interfaces with other departments. Manage change  to insure no adverse impacts to production. Coach and Mentor others on Lean Manufacturing.

•Establish and maintain standard process documents (Work Instructions, Control Plans, EATRc's, FMEA's, Plant Layouts, Tooling & Fixture Lists, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, BOM's Routers, Environmental Process Maps and Value Stream Maps).
•Drive PUMA savings for value streams.
•Monitor production metrics and identify areas for improvement and/or problem solving through data.
•Engage operators in  Continuous Improvement Projects in the value streams.
•Manage Transfer of products from Germany, China and India, insuring a smooth production launch at the Madeline Plant.
•Reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager / SPS Leader in the Process Industries and Drives, Mechanical Drives Business Unit.


•Support production operations by providing technical support  in resolving process issues in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity or Cost.
•Commission and qualify standard / custom tools and fixtures for production.
•Lead plants efforts to obtain equipment, tooling, fixtures and gauges as well as document via work instructions, equipment list, tooling/fixture lists and process control documentation for product transfers via the New Product Introduction Process.  
•Manage all aspects of change management
•Participate in daily, weekly and monthly engineering, production team, staff, safety and other relevant meetings.
•Conduct Process audits and manage corrective and preventive actions.
•Drive Project execution and report  project status to management.
•Analyze process performance and suggest  solutions to improve through data.  

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

•Associates degree in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) Preferred. HS Diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training / certification may be required.
•Working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
•Strong analytic skills.
•Knowledge of basic statistics (central tendency, histograms, dot plots, control limits)
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
•Demonstrated innovation, creativity and problem solving skills in an assembly environment

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

•Experience in Lean Tools and ability to train
