Job Description
Position Overview:

We are currently seeking  an Prinicipal Sales Applications Engineer for the Aerospace Vertical in Seattle, WA.  This position is an individual contributor role that reports to the Director of the Aerospace Vertical.  
This position is responsible for providing product information for customer solutions.


The incumbent's duties will include the following:

- Applies acquired process, product and/or equipment knowledge based on current industry trends, competitive practices, performance, price and market position. Designs moderate hardware/software solutions as appropriate.

- Completes technical product advice for the development and implementation of customer solutions. Prepares and presents detailed technical proposals, including product demonstrations  and product prototypes.

- Reviews/analyzes specification costs of installations to determine changes/revisions resulting in lower design/manufacturing costs and increase profitability.

- Proposes specific products and value engineering adaptations with cost-effective results, meeting customer needs.

- Prepares and presents customer needs plan to company teams to assure complete plan is feasible within cost, time, and environment constraints.

- Consults with appropriate groups in preparation of proposals for complex domestic/international installations. Prepares explanation to enable proper interpretation/evaluation of specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Experience with a combination of the following:
1. CNC, PLC, SCADA, Step7 and HMI, guiding customers on the usage of Siemens' products.
2. Assist customers through applications from concept through completion.
3. Coordinate with sales team, providing technical support to help close automation  business.
4. Provide one-on-one support to customers to help convert and close business

A BS degree and 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
