Job Description
Position Overview
• Responsible for integration testing of assigned domains, features, or products.
• Primary responsibility is to mitigate product risk by analyzing the test basis, creating and executing integration tests, and reporting defects to development.
• Create and execute automated regression tests using tools and products such as N-Unit, C++, and C#
• Collaborate with other development ant test team members, teams are both local and with R&D organizations located in Germany.
• Participate in review of software design documentation, product source code, and user documentation.
• Work closely with development engineers to duplicate and resolve test and customer identified defects.
• Required to estimate own work and to implement to these estimations.
• Participate as part of a project team and perform duties under the guidance of an integration test leader.
• Siemens Industry is a leading provider of micro automation equipment.  The position is within the Digital Factory division and within one of their R&D divisions.

• Responsible to mitigate product risk by identifying and reporting defects to development.  
• Responsible for estimating the effort behind implementing and executing testing required verifying integration of software modules into the product.
• Participation in international meetings is required to discuss requirements and collaborate with other developers and testers working on multi-national projects.
• All software project planning is based around a series of increments.  Estimations are used to plan what features will be tested in each increment. Required to estimate own work and to implement to these estimations.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years of software test experience working on large projects embedded as part of a development team.
• On occasion travel is required, • Knowledge of object oriented design principals and terms.  
• Ideal candidate has at least 2 years writing software test solutions using C++ or C#.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
• Experience with software development and/or testing on international projects.
• Experience in the usage of factory automation systems, especially PLCs.
• Knowledge of source control systems such as TFS or GIT.
• Knowledge of test management systems such as MTM.
• Knowledge of defect management systems such as Clear Case or TFS.
• Hold formal test certifications; such as ISTQB at the fundamental or advanced level.
