SES Senior Systems Engineer for Security Controls
Position Overview
This office and project site based position is responsible for the design of Security commercial building systems using company tools and operating protocols.  Overall team consists of level I and II Systems Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Graphic Designers, and Sales Application Engineers.

Responsibilities
You will be doing:
•Review project specifications and drawings and manage the design process of a complete Security Access Control, CCTV & Intrusion while managing Engineering labor budget.
•Remotely access customer Security systems where possible from the office to make changes, diagnose malfunctions and assist field technicians from a software and technical standpoint.  Field visit may be required for site surveys and complex integration projects.  60%- 70% office and 30%- 40% field split.
•Assist in generating service contracts and monitoring estimates for Access Control, CCTV and Intrusions systems.
•Select appropriate integration/ installation methods to provide a cost effective solution while managing material budget along with support of Sales Application Engineers.
•Design Security systems, with minimal supervision, for standard and/or complex critical environments facilities such as datacenters, laboratories, clean rooms, and hospitals.  May need to create unique design solutions to meet project requirements.  Designs primarily large Security Campus's including network architecture, computer hardware, 3rd party integrations connected via Ethernet and communicating via various methods.
•Oversees the preparation of all submittals (CAD drawings, material selection, budget review, and sequence of operations), submittal process and approval, hand off to electrical subcontractor and Siemens startup personnel.  Visits project site to assist in any coordination items as they arise.  Oversees project as-builts and OM submittals.
•Assists sales in bid preparation to evaluate material and engineers approach and costs.  Coaches, mentors, and trains junior engineers in Security system theory and design applications.  Provides technical leadership for overall security team.  May lead a design team consisting of junior engineers and engineering assistants.
•Coaches Engineering Specialists, Assistants and/or other System Engineers.  

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

•Associates degree in Electronics or other technical field or equivalent experience..  
•A minimum of 5 years engineering /systems or other related experience. Strong knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations required.
•Proficiency in programming, job start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Adobe PDF and AutoCAD required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   
•Knowledge in Microsoft SQL database programming preferred.
•Knowledge & ability to build intelligent network infrastructure preferred.

•High level understanding of IT Network systems.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
•Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
•5+ years of Security engineering experience.
•CCURE 9000/ 800, Lenel, Genetec, Bosch, Exacqvision, Milestone, ONSSI, Verint, Etc.
