Job Description
Position Overview

The position is for a Senior Field Service Engineer within SII-Industry Automation-Sensors and Communications Division reporting directly to Ricardo Ochoa.  The engineer will participate in trouble-shooting, analyzing, programming support, and application recommendations.  The position will require hardware solutions or changes to semi-complex customer specifications and/or processes to better match company products.  


The engineer will perform a full range of standard work for the instrumentation field as required.  The engineer will need to identify and resolve technical related issues regarding hardware, software, and other readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems.

•Engineer will be responsible to support pre/post-sales and technical related field requests as required.  Field service requests will be customer driven and scheduled accordingly.
•Provide technical phone support for process instrumentation product lines.
•Engineer will be required to develop and conduct training sessions for internal/external customers.  Training sessions can include face-to-face hands-on, power-point presentation, and webinars.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

•Bachelor of Science Degree.
•5-years of successful experience in instrumentation or related field.
•60% required travel.
•Proven ability to develop rapport with customers.
•Proven experience in analyzing and trouble-shoot process instrumentation.
•Basic knowledge in digital communication including, but not limited to, Profibus, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus, and Hart (Wireless).

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

•AutoCad drafting a plus.
•Access database a plus.
