Job Description
The Head of Project Management Organization (PMO) for the US Turnkey Projects and Electrification (TPE) organization reports to the Vice President of TPE will play a critical role in driving the profitability of the business unit.

Candidate must be able to lead a team of project managers who manage multi-million dollar project in the rail electrical power industry, provide his/her team with strategic direction, define and hold the team accountable to the planned results, and be self-motivated with the drive to make things happen.

Required skills - Senior project manager with leadership skills. Expert in evaluating and managing project risks and manage project budget, cash and schedule. Excellent negotiation skills to manage the contract, the customer and internal stakeholders.

PMP certification required. Project management excellence principles required. Minimum 10 years experience with managing projects with profit and loss responsibility and the construction, railroad or public transit industry.

Responsibilities include:
- Active support of the business in achieving targets through implementation of project management methods, principles and tools (PM@Siemens)
- Serve as business management spokesperson and business owner in dealings with customers
- Establish and maintain project progress and financial reporting and provide regular updates to the business management

PMO Tasks:
- Achieve process and execution conformity during all phases of the projects from acquisition through the execution phase
- Ensure projects are managed to established set of milestones and a quality gate process is implemented
- Identification of potentially critical projects
- Ensure proper project reporting including financials, risks, opportunities, non-conformance costs
- Establishment of regular best-practice knowledge and lesson learnt sharing
