Job Description
Position Overview:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for guiding the technical design in an R&D environment, of large and complex systems, often created from integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components to create a comprehensive system.  In this role, the candidate will work with a diverse team made up of engineers from a variety of disciplines, Program Managers, Sales, Purchasing, and Senior Management as well having direct customer interaction.  The systems to be created will be a combination of internal engineering, system simulation, data analysis, leveraging viable commercial products, working with external vendors, and interfacing with customer systems.  Previous project teams ranged in size from four to thirty people.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:
• Bachelor's degree, or advanced degree, from an accredited college/university in an Engineering discipline.
• Excellent ability to understand complex technical challenges and derive appropriate solutions
• Works well in a team dynamic
• Outstanding written and presentation skills
• Experience in material handling systems such as conveyor and package sortation
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience with 3-D modeling
• Familiarity with PLC control protocols (ControlLogix, Siemens S7, Modbus)
• Experience with control of machinery involving mechanical and electrical hardware
• Experience with embedded communications systems
