Siemens PLM Software is seeking Software Engineering interns to join our development team. You will be working in the Data Exchange and/or 3D Visualization Components group of Siemens PLM Software.

•         The Data Exchange Components group is responsible for the development and enhancement of 3D Data Interoperability APIs, PLMXML Adapters and 3D Translator products.
•         The Visualization Components group is currently researching web based 3D visualization components and technologies

The candidate will be taking on a wide range of interesting tasks from Applications Engineering to Software Engineering, prototyping new algorithms and implementing real world, customer driven solutions in the CAD & 3D Visualization Interoperability arena.

Skills and characteristics

•Working towards a degree in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering - or similar numerate degree.
•Knowledge of
oC++ programming language
oScripting language such as PERL
oWeb app languages (JS/HTML5) and techniques
oObject oriented design (OOD)
•Interest in in CAD/CAM/CAE, Computer Graphics, Computational Geometry and / or Geometric Tolerancing
•Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work well in a team
•Excellent learning and problem solving skills
•Self-motivated with a great can-do attitude
