Job Description

The Siemens Design Engineering Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day first line management of a team of Design Engineers and CAD Drafters.  We offer a competitive market salary, 15 days of paid time off, 9 Company holidays and a floating holiday annually. •First line supervisory position. Manages between eight to maximum of 12 engineers/drafters. This includes distributing task oriented design/drafting assignments among assigned direct reports as per their skill set, assignment follow ups, reviewing design work for quality control as per engineering standards, developing group skill set, assigning year end targets and performing yearly reviews.
•Supervises the activities and performance of all design engineering for installed work for area of responsibility as well as a direct CAD Engineering portfolio. Provides technical support, expertise, leadership and accountability for installed projects in assigned geographic area or location as well as own workload.
•Support sales executives, service department and project management with engineering resources, project changes orders & cost review.
•Supervises employees to ensure schedules are maintained and projects proceed according to plans, job specifications and cost estimates.  
•Supervises engineering activities including submittal preparation, material ordering, shipping, labor plans, job site walks, job folder updates and re-estimates.
•Provides direct employee mentorship, and is responsible for employee development within their group.  Promotes, provides training for, and ensure implementation of engineering related division productivity tools.
•Participates in or facilitates representation for the Project Manager to Field Work Force Project Turnovers. Plans and justify manpower, staffing requirements, tools, and other appropriate investments for effective and timely execution of assigned work. Provides monthly project estimates and assists in monthly forecasting. Ensures proper job management and cost control by reviewing project financial statements with Project Managers and Operations Managers.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•Requires two years of college or technical school resulting in an Associate's degree in electrical engineering.
•A minimum of 3  Years of Supervisory Experience
•A minimum of 5 Years Experience in Engineering with NICET III or NICET IV certification.
•Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing
•Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
