Mission

Environmental, Health & Safety and Technical Trainer

Main Functions

  • Position would include up to 50% travel
  • Travel to the wind farms would be necessary to provide tailored technical training to the technicians in the field based on need
  • EHS related training in order to keep technician certs up to date or to keep field employees up to speed on EHS best practices
  • Provide Technician Level 1-3 training courses as well as other technical and safety related courses at the Training Center
  • Procedure validation for new procedures on new and old turbine technologies
  • Develop training content, presentations, and videos (online and in person) based on the needs of the field in order to fit new procedures or equipment that is released from engineering and Corporate
  • Provide adequate and relevant training to new/experienced technicians on the new technology or new procedures that are released
  • Provide courses for classroom and hands on training to meet the site needs and assist with the ILUO process
  • Utilize engineering data and information from PTS of common issues/alarms to develop and structure training classes and provide lessons learned type training content
  • Review H&S equipment, PPE and tools to determine applicability for use in the field as it pertains to maintenance, small and large corrective activities
  • Determine if procedures are adequate or need updating based on application in the field, work with appropriate parties for updating if necessary
  • Training of employees in various safety related training i.e. electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, heights, etc...
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

2-3 years of University Studies in Engineering - Technical Studies

Other Knowledge

  • Familiarity with field tools and equipment used during maintenance, small corrective and large corrective activities
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, cranes, forklifts and other equipment used in field ops
  • Use of multimeters, electrical equipment, electrical PPE
  • Use of mechanical tools and calibrated tools
  • Standard office equipment
  • Familiarity with field tools and equipment used during maintenance, small corrective and large corrective activities
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, cranes, forklifts and other equipment used in field ops
