In this position, the Manager of Project Management and Business Process group within the Engineering Center of Excellence Product Engineering department can expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Oversight of and resource management for project management resources within Product Engineering
  • Leading significant projects for Product Engineering and the broader GFE&PM and Nuclear Fuel business
  • Driving execution and improvement of core Product Engineering business processes, including but not limited to corrective actions (CAPAL), resource planning, annual budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Manage design technician group.
  • Manage department activities to implement, modify existing designs, and improve production techniques of product development for the organization.   Maintain broad oversight of operations, anticipate and direct timely and effective responses to routine and non-routine problems.   Proactively promote independent actions as required to improve customer relations and product improvement.
  • Ensure reliable product delivery meeting objectives for quality, production, cost and scheduling.
  • Direct operations utilizing cost effective resource management and allocation in the implementation of product development.
  • Provide technical leadership to the organization through frequent communication and interface with customers and departments within and outside of the organization.
  • Oversee engineering design support for the factory responsibility in specific areas as required.   Direct continual review.
  • Evaluate and approve design changes, calculations, specifications and drawing releases.
  • Plan and formulate engineering program and organizes department according to project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain department standard operating procedures, training standards, manuals and drawing standards.
  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements and related specifications.
  • Assign project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans and product testing.
  • Provide coaching to and development of department personnel and promote teamwork.
  • Control expenditures within limitations of department budget.
  • Provide input to short and long term department plans.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Required.
  • Minimum 10 plus years applicable experience required.
  • Extensive experience successfully leading large, complex programs with significant customer and executive engagement required.
  • PM certification strongly preferred.
