We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in our Newington office.  In this position, a Senior Mechanical Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:

1. Perform routine engineering design evaluations and analyses with specific guidance. 2. Prepare appropriate documentation supporting evaluations and analyses with specific guidance.
3. Verify routine design evaluations and analyses performed by others with specific guidance.
4. Interface on a limited basis with customers, vendors and other internal functional groups on engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
5. Obtain results to routine technical problems.
6. Develop skills necessary to assume more independent assignments.
7. Identify and recommend improvements in processes on continuing basis and assist in implementation.
8. Identify and assist in development of new business opportunities.
9. Plan and schedule own work to meet assignment requirements within scheduler and budgetary requirements.
10. Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, related technical engineering discipline, or equivalent.
* Minimum of 3 years of applicable experience.
* Understanding of GD&T
* Understanding of tool design/fixturing
* Knowledge of manufacturing process (welding, machining)
