We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Product Assurance Engineer in our Quality organization with the position being located in the Columbia, SC facility.

In this position, a Product Assurance Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Provide daily oversight automated NDE equipment.
  • Review and approve procedures as a product assurance representative for the rod manufacturing area.
  • Write/ review procedures for the rod inspection area/ NDE equipment.
  • Trouble shoot equipment issues related to the NDE units.
  • Make improvements to the current NDE processes.
  • NDE process engineer for the TPBAR inspection systems.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Science curriculum or a 2 year technical degree.
  • Knowledge of Nondestructive examination disciplines.
  • Level III Certification in NDE is preferred.
  • Disciplines used are X-ray, X-ray Fluorescence, Leak Check, Ultrasonic, and Liquid Penetrant.
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment needed
  • Department of Energy 'L' clearance for performance of duties in the TPBAR area.
