We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering Technician C - Mechanical in our System Testing organization unit.
 
In this position, an Engineering Technician C - Mechanical can expect to be responsible for the following:
 
Assist engineers and other higher classified personnel in technical type functions related to the generation, compilation, and verification of analytical information.

WORKING PROCEDURE AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED:

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL MAJOR JOB DUTIES BUT THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF OTHER DUTIES BY THE INCUMBENT, NOR THE QUESTION BEING RAISED ON THE PROPER RATE OF PAY FOR THE ASSIGNMENT.

This position identifies engineering work which requires a high degree of manipulative or other special skills acquired through experience, coupled with technical training and application of knowledge in the area of specialization.
 
1.Assist in the analysis, summarization, and preparation of data into written and/or graphic form requiring calculations involving the use of basic algebraic formulas and trigonometric functions.
 
2.Assist in the preparation and review of various proposals.
 
3.Assist in the preparation of computer input alterations and modifications based on information derived from initial raw data analysis.
 
4.Assist in the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
 
5.Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes and associated records.
 
6.Run data analysis and/or computer plotting programs utilizing existing computer systems.
Update and maintain various databases as required. 
 
7.Track, update and report on departmental and/or project metrics.
 
8.Apply Quality Assurance concepts in the review of documents and drawings.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
* Associate's degree in an Engineering or technical curriculum Required. No amount of experience will be permitted to substitute for the required education in an Engineering Technician position.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
* Experience with Mechanical Engineering preferred
* Experience with Piping Preferred
* Experience with Engineering Documents preferred
