We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Licensing Engineer in our US Licensing organization located in Cranberry Township, PA.  If you are interested in taking your engineering experience and expanding it with more customer and NRC interaction, then a position in the U.S. Licensing group might be for you.  This is an opportunity to present and communicate the Westinghouse AP1000 design to the customers and regulators.

Westinghouse Nuclear Power Plants is responsible for new nuclear plant designs, licensing, engineering and component design within Westinghouse.

This Senior Licensing Engineer candidate must possess a strong  engineering background.  The candidate must possess superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to interface with multiple organizations to ensure work is delivered on time.  The candidate can expect to develop a working knowledge of the AP1000 and provide guidance to other licensing engineers. The candidate needs to have the ability to interact with customers to resolve their questions and comments. It is beneficial to have background with the AP1000 or other PWR plants.
In this position, a Senior Licensing Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:
•Create, review and verify 50.59 like evaluations and License Amendment Requests (LAR) or Non-LAR departures for the AP1000.
•Interface with AP1000 licensees and Westinghouse Engineering and Licensing personnel to deliver high quality licensing evaluations on schedule.
•Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the AP1000 design.
•Provide technical guidance to other licensing engineers creating the evaluations.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

•Bachelor's Degree in engineering required (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical). Master's Degree  preferred.
•Minimum 4+ years of applicable engineering experience required.
•Nuclear industry experience required. Nuclear Regulatory Licensing experience preferred.
•Motivation to deliver high quality work on time.
•Excellent written communication skills.
•Ability to communicate project schedule, priorities, and challenges to management.
•Capability of comprehending a complex process quickly.
•Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task with a number of different organizations and task demands.
•Ability to read a project schedule
