We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Resident Site Engineer  at the Watts Bar Station near Spring City, TN.  In this position, a RSE can expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Understands and communicates customer's needs to Westinghouse management. 
  • Oversight of contract execution, order implementation/control, and resolution of problems for specific customer.
  • Provide accurate and responsive support to assigned customers by facilitating resolution of technical/commercial issues.
  • Assist Senior Resident Manager(SRM)/Resident Site Manager(RSM) in direction and administration of Westinghouse office with minimal supervision.
  • Assume RSM/SRM responsibilities in the absence of the RSM/SRM.
  • Understands customer processes and procedures and communicates to WEC Outage Managers and Project Managers.
  • Assist in identification of unmet customer needs and take appropriate action to provide solutions relating to business opportunities for Westinghouse.
  • Provides support for site High Impact Teams and Continuous Improvement teams. Facilitates OE, Lessons Learned and Best Practice sharing across all customer projects.
  • Issue regular plant status reports, including customer needs identification.
  • Secondary point of contact for customer ERO call out
  • Provide CAM and SRM/RSM market place data including customer long-term O&M and capital plans as well as competitor intelligence.
  • Develop and maintain critical working relationships with customer personnel up to and including senior manager/vice-president levels including day‑to‑day contacts.  Act as focal point for customer requests.  Know the customer's organization, objectives, and expectations thoroughly, including utility economics.
  • Maintain critical Westinghouse product line relationships up to and including service manager level, as necessary, for prompt resolution of customer requirement conflicts.
  • Establish agenda for customer meetings, assure proper attendance and preparation of presentation material, make presentations, and conduct meeting.  Develop innovative approaches for presenting new products and services.
  • Serves as an Outage Engineer during outages and supports the Outage Manager on opposite shifts.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related technical degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of six years' applicable experience in product line engineering, marketing or projects organizations required; Knowledge of NSSS systems, Westinghouse products, services, commercial operations, financial planning and strategic objectives preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of engineering principles, application to related systems / components / equipment, and techniques and applications in field of specialization.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain unescorted access to nuclear power plants is required.
