We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Performance Improvement Manager in our WECTEC business line at our new nuclear construction project in Jenkinsville, SC.
In this position, a Senior Performance Improvement Manager can expect to be responsible for the following:

Responsible for managing and supporting the implementation of the Corrective Action Program, Human Performance, Knowledge Management / Lessons Learned programs and provide associated trending reports and metrics depicting the health of each program. Responsible to lead and manage project Nuclear Safety Culture initiatives and leadership forums. This position requires the incumbent to communicate and coordinate program level projects and issues with the Project Senior Leadership, Client, NRC, INPO and other organizations supporting these efforts.
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Participate as Management reviewer for Corrective Action screening activities.
  • Lead Corrective Action Review Boards (CARB).
  • Provide oversight and leadership to all aspects of the corrective action program (CAP), Self-Assessment & Benchmark and overall trending.
  • Manages a staff of professionals to implement all Performances Improvement programs, through performance development and coaching.
  • Develops financial and operational objectives within own area. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives
  • Contributes to functional strategy development. Has in-depth functional expertise and broad business knowledge
  • Manages key nuclear safety culture activities including; nuclear safety culture monitoring panels, and safety culture surveys.
  • Works with senior project leadership to develop and implement strategies that foster a strong nuclear safety culture
  • Develops relationships with key internal/external customers to identify emerging needs.
  • Drives the development and implementation of trending tools and applications needed by project to capture, monitor and control performance issues
  • Mentors and coaches project team members in the use of Human Performance tools and processes to assure project has a world class nuclear safety culture
  • Drives cultural change to install focused on fact-based management practices and the use of Six Sigma and other problem solving methodologies
  • Continuously improves projects organizational capabilities to achieve process safety and quality as part of the projects execution, including an awareness of the need to" do it right the first time."
  • Supports project teams in process safety and quality activities by educating, coaching and mentoring team members on the performance improvement philosophy, tools and applications.
  • Oversees Knowledge Management program to ensure its capturing AP1000 and industry Lessons Learned and communicating them effectively with the projects workforce and stakeholders
  • Manages the performance of employees through goal setting, ongoing assessment and coaching.
  • Act as a role model in the commitment to high ethical standards and to conducting business with a high level of integrity

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • Must have a degree in a business related or technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
  • 2 or more years of project management experience desired. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of NRC 10CFR 50 and NQA-1 and INPO Principles
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Action-oriented with the ability to deliver timely and positive results
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Successful track record of leading and driving change
