We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Hardware Engineer in our department.In this position, a Senior Hardware Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:

•      Perform routine engineering design evaluations, analyses and product life cycle assessments with specific guidance.

•      Prepare appropriate documentation supporting evaluations, analyses and product life cycle assessments with specific guidance.

•      Verify routine design evaluations, analyses and product life cycle assessments performed by others, as qualified.

•      Gain product use and operational knowledge to support resolution of product performance issues culminating in becoming a subject matter expert capable of teaching to internal and external customers.

•      Interface on a limited basis with customers, vendors and other internal functional groups on engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.

•      Obtain results to routine technical problems and recommend mitigation strategies addressing predicted product obsolescence.

•       Develop skills necessary to assume more independent assignments.

•       Identify and recommend improvements in processes on continuing basis and assist in implementation.

•       Plan and schedule own work to meet assignment requirements within scheduler and budgetary requirements.

•         Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

•         Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering

•         Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial environment, i.e. familiar with documentation control concepts, structured design processes and analog/digital circuit analysis techniques.

•         An interest in long term association with a product.

•         Desirable Westinghouse Nuclear engineering work experience

•         Desirable Alternately, experience within a highly regulated industry, i.e. medical instrumentation, aerospace avionics, naval nuclear
