As a Director, Software Program Mgt, you are responsible for strategy around program portfolio execution, driving continuous improvement projects, tracking and controlling program budgets, coaching and providing functional expertise to team members leading large global Agile programs. S/he leads across the team to continuously improve program execution and teamwork ensuring key milestones are met on time and on budget. S/he will lead the Renewable Energy Digital Agile Center of Excellent (ACE).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide Leadership, coach, mentor, and evangelize Agile best
    practices across the organization; this will include coaching and mentoring
    Scrum Masters, product owners, and developers in the application of Agile
  • Work with Product Management & software development to
    define resources needs, schedules and assist in managing flow of programs into
    development organization
  • Influence at all levels of the organization and help
    implement recommended changes to build Agile software delivery culture
  • Effectively manages Program Managers to ensure execution
  • Drive continuous improvement projects, eliminating all
    wasteful activities and artifacts from program execution processes
  • Support tool selection and drive standardization across the
    organization where appropriate and deemed necessary
  • Works within Program Management to ensure effective and
    efficient communication and execution for program execution. Build and support minimal needed levels of
    reporting for program delivery and executive stakeholder's requirements.
  • Ensures teams meet the quality metrics on code coverage and
    looks for opportunities to increase team's capabilities on quality &
    velocity metrics


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors
    (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited college or
  • A minimum of 12+ years of project management experience
    along with established leadership.
  • Minimum 5+ years leading, coaching, driving agile project

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for

  • Must be willing to travel up to 15%
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Chicago,
    IL or San Ramon, CA

  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Certified Agile Coach (Preferred)

Technical Expertise:
  • Strong background in Agile software delivery, SCRUM, Scrum
    of SCRUMs
  • Deep understanding and experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work on multiple overlapping projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated customer management skills
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Ability to build consensus and achieve goals through
    influence in highly complex global organization
