Job Overview:

CB&I 's Fabrication Services group is currently searching for an Engineering Manager in its Baton Rouge, LA location. The Fabrication Engineering Manager supervises the Drafting Managers and is responsible for the overall performance of all Fabrication Engineering Departments.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in fabrication engineering department
  • Ensures spool drawings are created accurately in all Fabrication Engineering Departments
  • Constantly meets forecasted demands for all Fabrication Engineering Departments
  • Responsible for the discrepancies found in the shops and addressing the errors and issues
  • Should assume the role of Global Functional Network (GFN) Leader (subject matter expert), Deputy, or Issuing Authority of Fabrication Engineering Department policies and procedures
  • Determines resource requirements to support project schedules and commitments
  • Trains new and current team members
  • Controls the budget and conformance of the department
  • Maintains a work environment that is safe, ethical, and teamwork oriented
Basic Qualifications:
  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of experience and at least 5 years of management experience in technical field is required
  • Working knowledge of and be able to interpret codes and standards including but not limited to ASME, ANSI, ASTM, MSS, PFI, and API
  • Knowledgeable of pipe fabrication techniques (construction materials, cutting, fitting, welding, bending, non-destructive examination, coating, installation)
  • Possess basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, file management systems, and spreadsheets)
  • Must be highly organized and be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
