Job Overview:

Work will primarily include entry to mid-level air quality data analysis tasks, data management, report preparation, scheduling, providing regulatory guidance and related tasks as directed by the program manager. Anticipated project work will initially come from existing commercial clients located throughout the Unites States. The position will include approximately 95% office work, with very limited travel.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Review air quality data for validity and quality assurance
  • Remain current on all applicable air quality regulations
  • Maintain detailed records and log books.
  • Compile data/generating tables, graphs and charts
  • Solid communication skills (e.g. notes as above, remote email, daily phone conversation with management)
  • Lead in preparation of various air quality submittals including monitoring plans, quality assurance plans, and certification reports
  • Air quality permit reviews
Basic Qualifications:
  • BA or BS Degree (Meteorology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or other similar field)
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant experience needed
  • Strong knowledge of local, State, and Federal regulations related to air quality
  • Experience with the equipment and data review and validation for continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS), ambient air monitoring systems and samplers, and meteorological tower instrumentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook)
  • Valid driver's license.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • In-depth knowledge of USEPA Quality Assurance Methods for Air Quality
  • Experience with data acquisition systems for collecting air quality data
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to build rapport with subcontractors, clients and representatives
  • Understanding budget/schedule expectations and scope of assignments
