Job Overview:

Woodlands location.

This position will be reporting to the Compensation Manager, this intermediate level role will assist with following activities: administering CB&I's base compensation programs and salary structures, pricing jobs, working with HR leadership on job offers/promotions and contributing to the improvement of the organization's compensation programs.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Evaluates and analyzes external market data, determines pay grades, and participates in salary surveys.
  • Reviews salary structures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation.
  • Assists in the design and implementation of corporate compensation programs, policies, and procedures within a team environment.
  • Assists in the development and administration of focused programs for management, key executives and officers intended to align total compensation with Company business objectives. Programs may include short and/or long term incentive plans.
  • Ensures the compensation program enhances the organization's ability to recruit and retain employees.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area.
  • Experience ideally includes 2 + years' relevant and progressive compensation experience.
  • Proficiency with market pricing software such as MarketPay or CompAnalyst to facilitate and complete survey submissions, salary structure review design, position to market analyses, merit budget matrix, etc.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, PeopleSoft Query and preferably PeopleSoft's Compensation module.
  • Has working knowledge, skills and experience within the compensation discipline, including expertise with executive and non-executive compensation surveys.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Works independently with moderate guidance.
  • Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies solutions to non-standard requests; does not simply execute requests, but gets to the "why" behind the requests.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Manages own time to meet objectives; forecasts and plans resource requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Other Details:

CCP certification (or working toward certification), experience with global compensation surveys/practices and/or administration of incentive and equity awards.
