Job Overview:

The Director, LNG Plant Operations is a member of the LNG leadership team and responsible for establishing the plans, procedures, and organization necessary to satisfy CB&I's responsibilities for commissioning, start-up, and initial operations of LNG facilities. The Director LNG Plant Operations works closely with construction, engineering, and the project management teams to co-ordinate the activities needed to implement all commissioning, start-up, and operating systems, processes, and procedures necessary for safe operations taking due regard of simultaneous operations.

A primary responsibility of the Director LNG Plant Operations is to develop the organization needed to support multiple LNG projects; including providing support to identify, recruit, hire, train, and supervise suitable and professionally qualified operations team(s) fully capable of commissioning, starting up and operating the facilities.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Understand CB&I scope and responsibilities for commissioning, start up, and initial operations, including training and development of client operations team
  • Oversee establishing the plans, procedures, and organization necessary to satisfy CB&I's responsibilities for commissioning, start-up, and initial operations
  • Oversee the project commissioning and operations manager
  • Assure worldwide coordination of project relations with collaborators and stakeholders
  • Assist Sales in making and keeping high-level relationships in client organizations
  • Support Sales with plant operation coordination and capabilities
  • Participate in keystone client meetings to support Executive Sponsor and Project Managers
  • Assist in company professional skills training programs and coordinate with external resources for support in your area of expertise
  • Identify resource needs for special initiatives and coordinate their acquisition
  • Monitor industry and market activities and trends that affect CB&I businesses
  • Safeguard CB&I interests and long-term strategic relationships (customers, partners, licensors, subcontractors, and suppliers)
  • Assist with identification, recruitment, and development of technical, project, and management talent
  • Identify and establish collaboration opportunities in current and new business lines
  • Assist with global application of CMS
  • Assist with publication review
  • Monitor and promote safe work practices at all job sites and office areas
  • Support training and development of high potential individuals within the company
  • Assist project managers with client relationship development and strengthening
  • Participate in project negotiations with clients and suppliers as appropriate
  • Sponsor and participate in community outreach initiatives
  • Support university recruitment and employee initiation and training
  • Contribute to estimates, project execution approaches, and contract T&C's during pre-contract phase, especially with respect to expectations within the customer and industry
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree Required
  • Minimum 20 years relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a Joint Venture
  • Degree qualified
