RWE are looking to recruit a Forecasting, Planning & Reporting Analyst into their Finance function based in Swindon, the RWE UK Head Office. The role will be hired on a 12 month Fixed term Contract, with occasional travel to other RWE sites as required

Main Purpose of Job: Work as a key member of the FP&R team, the analyst will assist the Senior analyst, on managing the Planning, Forecasting and SCOut (Station Contribution Outlook) processes:

Co-ordinate and produce an appropriate forecast, plan and SCOut Reporting for RWE Generation UK

Co-ordinate and produce management reporting for forecast, plan and SCOut

Analyse key financials and value drivers and provide management with timely and accurate information to enable effective decision-making

Principal Accountabilities: Work within the Planning and Reporting team to provide a consolidated view of forecast /plan /SCOut for discussion with Management in explaining and interpreting key financial information:

Regular provision of reports concerning forecast and plan, highlighting in particular main deviations against initial Business Plan targets including risks and opportunities.

Co-ordinate and produce overall forecasts, mid and long term plan and respective update of plan for generation business.

Validate, analyse and challenge the appropriateness or forecast/plan/SCOut.

Ensure appropriate review and signoff of forecast/plan/SCOut with UK IPR members and management team.

Ensure the business story is understood both within the UK finance team but also within the RWE Generation SE controlling environment.

Provide analysis and support to the RWE Generations SE controlling teams for their management / Board review meetings at RWE Generations SE and RWE AG.

Ensure consistent forecast/plan/SCOut methodologies within RWE Generation.

Analyse key financials and value drivers (KPIs) and provide management with timely and accurate information to enable effective decision-making.

Support the wider Generation finance team, ensuring systems and processes are understood and used to drive efficiencies across the finance team.

Cash flow forecasting for RWEG UK.

Be ready and able to support the wider finance community through workload peaks.

Participation in analysis of ad hoc-requests by RWE AG or within RWE Generation.

Deputise for the Forecasting, Planning and Reporting Manager when required.

Knowledge and Skills: Strong financial background (qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA), with 3+yrs relevant PQE experience, preferably within a utility/energy market business.

Experience in a planning or forecasting role desirable.

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of finance and non-finance stakeholders with particular ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

Experience in presenting to board level executives preferable.

Strong analytical skills with an ability to deal with complex transactions / commercial issues.

Strong financial modelling skills.

High individual responsibility and assertiveness as well as ability to deal with time pressure.

Willingness to travel occasionally.

Strong process orientation, with an ability to design robust reporting frameworks.

A good team player, who brings enthusiasm and personality to the team.
