The Technical Domain Architect will be a key member of the Enterprise Architecture team responsible for prototyping and developing functional requirements for strategic customer accounts. You will guide cross functional teams in the design and development of industrial applications and systems, ensuring a high quality solution that fits well in the customer and business context. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the needs and concerns of strategic PowerGen customers.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Take a leadership role in leading industrial internet projects and guide the cross functional project team
  • Define scope and design industrial internet solution strategy and offerings, driving end-to-end technical solutions
  • Analyze customer and business requirements and specifications, and translate into product offering
  • Engage with customer functional team leaders through consultative model
  • Supervise the implementation and validation of the system integrations
  • Participate in internal and customer driven design reviews throughout program
  • Coordinate software development activities with software team leader
  • Work with multiple system engineers to optimize KPI (Key Performance Indicator) performance through data provided by analytics tools
  • Supervise software testing, and information systems security and maintenance
  • Lead strategy development for technology platforms, research and development support
  • Lead in troubleshooting, managing, and reporting problem resolution, including root cause analysis
  • Participate in performing workflow analysis and recommend reliability and availability improvements
  • Explore new technologies related to predictivity and performance, and incorporate into the technology roadmap
  • Develop technical presentations and proposals to perform customer presentations
  • Communicate with cross functional peers to coordinate solution development signed teams; mentor others in the organization
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Computer Science OR high school diploma / GED
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Network and System security management
  • A minimum of 10 years of software industry experience with proven track record

  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in consulting and/or client-facing roles
  • Deep knowledge of industrial software solutions and hands-on experience
  • Oil & Gas industries process knowledge and/or background
  • Recent significant systems / software solution development experience with complex development cycles
  • Must be able to articulate vision and influence decision making outcomes with internal stakeholders and the customer
  • Proven and effective communication, analytical, judgment, initiative and execution skills
  • Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in centrifugal compressor, gas turbine and steam turbine operability analytics
  • Working knowledge of software development and processes
  • Experience in designing complex system architecture
  • Experience and/or exposure to GE predictivity software platforms (GE Employees Only)
  • Six sigma certified or equivalent quality certification
  • Excellent organization and facilitation skills
