The Wind Services Commercial Leader will lead commercial efforts in North & South America for GE Renewable Energy supporting Service opportunities for the Onshore Wind new unit and aftermarket segments with deal strategy, pricing recommendations, terms / conditions and customer negotiations for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts, CM&U (Upgrades) and Strategic Parts Program sales.

Essential Responsibilities

The Wind Services Commercial Leader will coordinate with all internal functions as necessary and insure that all organizations are represented in the commercial process during the sale of Onshore Wind Service products.

As the Wind Services Commercial Leader, you will:
• Develop winning strategies to close profitable and executable orders for the highly competitive Onshore Wind Services segment of GE Renewable Energy
• Provide interface with counterparts in GE Renewable Energy field sales on prescribed transactions including new unit and installed base through the R Review Process
• Mobilize and lead multifunctional GE Renewable Energy support teams to implement the transaction strategies (Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Contracts, Project Management, Legal)
• Be principal owner and driver of the O&M transactional details related to pricing, technical, financial, and commercial inputs to support deal closure
• Drive process rigor and other improvements in the overall Inquiry to Order process
• Support achievement of Commercial team metrics related to orders, sales and margin


• Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business or related degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Commercial, Customer Service or equivalent experience associated with wind or related Power Generation products including a minimum of 2 years of experience with customer specification review, proposal development, contract development, and negotiations for equipment or service sales

• Ability and willingness to travel 40% of the time

Desired Characteristics

• Strong communications skills with ability to interface with all levels of internal and customer personnel
• Direct contract negotiating experience
• Master of Business Administration or Master's Degree from an accredited institution
• Green or Black Belt certification or equivalent quality certification
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously
