As the Lead Machine Connectivity & Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, industrializing, and globalizing machine monitoring and connectivity solutions within the global Repair Development Center network and the Global Repair Service (GRS) centers. The role will develop and establish globally scalable machine monitoring solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Lead Machine Connectivity / Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for requirements gathering, solution development, full scale prototyping and industrialization in the RDC. In addition, the role will deliver global installations and testing, and training. You will work closely with functional leaders in engineering, productivity, and GRS operations to deliver significant process improvements in terms of efficiency gains, cost reduction, on-time delivery, and improved quality.
As the Lead Machine Connectivity / Intelligence Engineer, you will:
• Work with GRS personal to prepare and conduct requirements gathering sessions
• Ensure that a global machine connectivity and analytical architecture is available in a cost efficient manner and in a way that enables stakeholders to build effective machine monitoring solutions
• Work with GE Product teams on product roadmaps, based on RDC and GRS (Global Restructuring Solutions) needs
• Work with and guide IT teams that design and develop state-of-art reusable machine connectivity solutions
• Work with machine specialists and manufacturing method experts in RDC and GRS service centers to connect factory assets / machines to the GE network infrastructure
• Manage external and internal technical design and development teams as required to deliver machine connectivity solutions
• Effectively communicate (i.e. status, issues, and escalations) to leadership and other various levels of the organization
• Manage the machine connectivity roadmap for RTCoE
• Effectively communicate to leadership and other various levels of the organization (e.g. status, issues, and escalations)


• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering position
• Willingness and ability to travel globally a minimum of 20% of the time

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with machine CNC / PLC controls and equipment, SCADA systems, or HMI design
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing methods, processes, and technologies
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with key GE Digital tools such as Cimplicity, Smart Signal, IGS, MT Connect, Field Agent, or Efficiency Analyzer
• Strong customer focus and ability to manage expectations
• Effective working in a complex matrix environment
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
• Green Belt or Black Belt Certified or equivalent Quality certification
• Demonstrated technical competence in GE Cimplicity Suite (GE Employees Only)
• Demonstrated technical competence in Machine Connectivity across multiple platforms and standards
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams
• Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
• Effective problem identification and solution skills
• Proven analytical and organizational ability
