Champion the overall life cycle management of gas engine remanufacturing products from initial development through useful product life. The Remanufacturing Product Manager will act as the link between the market and the organization, responsible to ensure that the product portfolio is robust, investments are sound, products meet market needs and expectations and product performance is competitive and profitable.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Product Manager Remanufacturing, you will:

  • Develop the overall strategy and business proposition around remanufacturing for Distributed Power
  • Be a cross functional change agent in the business, be an enthusiastic advocate of remanufacturing
  • Continually research and assess the competitive landscape for remanufactured parts offerings, i.e. fit, form, function, price, etc.
  • Develop the commercial strategy for Distributed Power remanufactured parts and solutions, including short and long-term growth plans, new and existing market expansions, and strengthened Channel Partner agreements
  • Strengthen the go-to-market strategy for existing products and manage commercial launches of new products, including market analysis, segmentation, value creation, branding and commercial activation
  • Work with Marketing and Communications to create and maintain appropriate collateral to position the products to meet market requirements
  • Oversee all marketing publications and campaigns
  • Partner with the Sales and regional OTR teams on orders opportunity-toconversion tracking and devise sales incentives to boost volume
  • Manage the lifecycle health of the remanufacturing product portfolio by:

    • Working with Engineering to oversee the development and introduction of new remanufactured product offerings according to MGPP
    • Partnering with Engineering to develop robust repairs technology and documentation to support portfolio
    • Managing the contractual relationship for the Waukesha product line 3rd party remanufacturing supplier, including performance, cost and productivity
    • Ensuring Fulfillment and key GE partners work together to execute remanufacturing growth initiatives, including redesign of network and
      footprint expansion
    • Develop and monitor remanufacturing performance metrics
    • Ensure product line profitability by understanding drivers of product cost for assigned product line and develop optimal pricing strategies
    • Recommend the elimination of outdated products and spearhead related efforts
    • Serve as the cross-functional liaison for key remanufacturing initiatives and day-to-day product questions and issue resolution
  • Lead team of two direct employees and drive cross functional alignment on
    strategic goals


  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Business Administration or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Significant working experience in either automotive or other multinational industries remanufacturing
  • Ability to travel domestically and internally at least 25%, or as required

    Desired Characteristics

    • Working knowledge of Power Generation, Oil & Gas, and Industrial Industry
    • Past experience in salvage operations experience
    • Demonstrable results in working in a remanufacturing industry
    • Understanding of reciprocating engines
    • Strong project management, coordination, change mgt., influencing & leadership skillset.
    • Ability to be successful in a matrix organization
    • Self-starter, entrepreneurial thinking, able to work with minimal supervision
    • Strong team player, inclusive & open minded approach, high say/do ratio, strong interpersonal skillset, proven change agent
    • Previous experience leading teams
    • Excellent communication skills in English. Further language preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and implement cross-functional programs
    • Strong analytical and financial acumen, skilled at developing financial plans and evaluating key financial performance metrics
    • Strong knowledge of marketing and commercial business processes

    According to Austrian law job postings need to include the minimum salary for a position. For this position the minimum salary based on the collective agreement is EURO 3.053,78 gross monthly. Please note that this is the very minimum salary and will most likely be higher. The effective salary is based on the candidate's Qualification and Experience and will be negotiated accordingly.
