As the IM Applications Architect you will be responsible to drive portfolio management for GE Power. This role will manages all aspects of solution design and its implementation for the global Oracle ERP on Premises and Cloud. In addition, will drive the roadmap for Oracle ERP initiatives and leads the collaboration to accelerate the ERP roll out schedule.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Applications Architect 4 you will:

  • Responsible for driving integration for Oracle ERP platform.
  • Produce documented application frameworks or architectures.
  • Lead business process evaluation / improvement activities, requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, software / hardware applicability studies and system implementation and executes projects based on ERP activities.
  • Be an expert in architecting and delivering complex and large-scale transformation programs involving Oracle technologies.
  • Contribute to formulate the strategy and lead the development of Enterprise Architecture standards, tools and technology for GE Power in close collaboration with the COE and P&L IT teams.
  • Introduce of new tools and technology as it relates to improving the Enterprise Architecture in areas of ERP platform, analytics, monitoring with strong focus on business outcomes and GE Power IT Security standards.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in the existing system landscape and partner with the P&L IT teams to work towards the best in class enterprise standards systems landscape for GE Power.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and drive change in complex matrix environment.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of application design and architecture

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture related pillars like ERP, middleware, PLM and/or mobile platforms
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle SOA and Fusion Middleware solutions
  • Knowledge of all components of holistic Enterprise Architecture
  • Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills at all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with IT Risk and Security concepts and it's applicability in designing technology solutions
  • Prior experience in Supply Chain applications, with functional depth in the areas of Order Management, Purchasing, Order to Cash, Advanced Pricing, Shipping, WMS and MSCA. R12.2 experience preferred
  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud architecture and middleware technologies
