The Sales Manager, Steam Repairs - Power Services, North Region is responsible for demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet Repairs needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy to grow our Parts and Repairs services volume and profitability.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Sales Manager, Steam Repairs - Power Services, North Region, you will:
  • Lead a team of sales professionals responsible for Steam Turbine and Generator Repairs
  • Execute on assigned operating plan and targets to assure that business wins profitable and productive service sales
  • Meet or exceed operational requirements: analytical reporting, Session C, operating reviews, and cost
  • Build influential relationships with customers develop strategies to win profitable Repairs business from those customers
  • Develop customer strategies, campaign plans, and lead in their execution
  • Integrate information, resources, and activities within the region and/or among global regions
  • Be responsible for customer satisfaction, evaluation, plans, and follow through
  • Demonstrate commercial and technical expertise in Parts and Repairs
  • Own regional input for planning and forecasting
  • Drive strategy and growth initiatives within the region
  • Direct the sales team to identify and develop opportunities driving growth


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation or large industrial sales, application engineering and/or marketing

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively lead and energize a multi-functional team to meet sales plan
  • Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs and business models
  • Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools (SFDC, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of GE Steam Turbine and Generator products and services
  • Experience with both contractual and transactional customers
  • Outcome selling experience
  • Experience creating sales opportunities where none appear to exist
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a sales team
  • Master's Degree or MBA
