The Sr. Sales Manager, Steam Turbine Services, West Region will be responsible for utilizing his or her specific knowledge and expertise in outages services and upgrades to the development of the North American (NAM) market for Steam Turbine Solutions and achieving Business Results in accordance with Power Services NAM "Blue Print".

Essential Responsibilities

In addition you will:
  • Drive Orders, Sales and Contribution Margin (CM) growth, while
    maintaining acceptable risk exposure, for GE and oOEM Steam Turbine outage services and
    upgrades for Customer Plants / Units in an assigned territory
  • Provide team leadership
    through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on GE and oOEM
    Steam Turbine outage services
  • Upgrade competitive strengths to serve the customer's
    needs while meeting GE's business goals
  • Own and manage the Inception to Order (ITO)
    strategy / process for selling Steam Turbine Solutions via pro-active prospecting with customers,
    customer visits, technical presentations, developing scopes of supply, delivering customer
    proposals and negotiating / closing orders
  • Interface with Account Managers, Repairs and
    Parts Sales Managers, Commercial Operations Team, Customer Service Leaders (CSL),
    Customer Fulfillment Managers (CFM) and other functional groups as required as part of an
    integrated Customer Team to grow the GE Power Services NAM Steam Turbine business with
    Customers in an assigned territory
  • Partner with Account Management and Commercial
    Operations on complex, multi-offering transactions that may include Parts, Repairs, Outage
    Services, Performance Upgrades, Digital Solutions and long term Service Agreements
    (SA)
  • Lead deal strategy development and reviews with Sales and Commercial Operations
    Team, Customer Service Leaders (CSL), Customer Fulfillment Managers (CFM), Global
    Operations and other functional groups as required
  • Ensure proper handoff and
    communication of secured orders to Fulfillment Team
  • Coordinate with Fulfillment Team to
    capture emergent work to assist in driving business growth
  • Coordinate efforts in
    conjunction with Account Manager to settle customer disputes and provide continuing business
    relationships
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer strategy / profile /
    requirements including customer asset management plans and competitor actions
  • Share
    knowledge internally and use data to drive Steam Turbine services sales opportunities with
    customers
  • Provide demand forecasting and pacing support to Sales Operations /
    Finance
  • Provide support to Sales Directors and Sub-Regional General Managers in
    identifying Steam Turbine business opportunities and creating sales analysis for assigned sales
    sub-region
  • Provide professional service sales representation for GE and
    oOEM Steam Turbine services to Customer Plants / Units in conjunction
    with the Account Manager for an assigned territory
  • Partner with Marketing to develop new
    Steam Turbine products and services for business growth



Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Technical Discipline field from an
    accredited college
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Power Generation
    Industry
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Marketing, Sales, Project
    Management or Customer Service in the Power Generation industry
  • Minimum of 5
    years experience working with, and knowledge of Steam Turbine Service Solutions

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Ability and willingness to travel 60% of
    the time, as required
