This key role is part of the Commercial/Technical Operations team supporting the Renewables business in Asia Pacific region.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Lead the technical proposal development in ITO (Inquiry to Order) as a central member of the Commercial team of Sales, Commercial Leader (CL), Commercial
Director (CD);
2. Matrix leadership of the ITO technical team including Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Balance of Plant (BOP) Engineering and all other technical
disciplines necessary for proposals;
3. Function as the accountable ITO resource for ensuring high quality, well defined, fully-costed technical proposals, which help position Renewable to win
profitable and executable orders;
4. Owns the technical analysis of customer inquiries, requests for quotations (RFQ) or tenders to determine proposal requirements, technical deviations, scope of
supply and winning strategies;
5. ITO resource to support Sales in closing orders at any stage in ITO by providing technical expertise and timely response to customer requirements within /
across segments, and where required operate as point of customer contact during early stage Sales process as part of site optimization/wind engineering work;
6. Responsible for the ITO cycle time reduction, proposal quality improvement and technical risk analysis optimization;
7. Leading technical transactional participant in the ITO Risk Processes for R0, R1, R2 and R3;
8. Leading technical transactional participant in the handoff/transition into Order to Remittance (OTR) and associated critical processes, such as customer kickoff,
first project review, etc. as applicable;
9. Participation in commercial/technical functions such as Session I (SI), Session II (SII), Session C (SC), order forecasting, technical strategy development, technical
risk management, technical issues resolution, TL tools developments & deployment, technical trainings, growth initiatives, six sigma initiatives etc. as requested
by Commercial Director.


1. Fluent in Japanese and English
2. Technical expertise in the Renewables Industry, including wind resources assessment, wind turbine products, wind project basics
3. Demonstrated business / commercial acumen
4. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
5. Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience
6. Bachelor degree in Engineering

Desired Characteristics

Knowledge of GE Renewables Products
