The oOEM Services Engineer will be responsible for GE's core services engineering actions in the regional oOEM Fleet he is assigned to, and create value for non-GE gas turbine technology. This position will be responsible for leading the oOEM technical execution to strengthen GE Power Services core technology, including engineering consulting services, remote monitoring capabilities and product support.

Essential Responsibilities

* Work with customers and Power Services core services engineering capabilities.
* Work with Customers and User Groups to determine core services products applicability, identify technology challenges on non-GE gas turbine technology, and develop strong customer relationships.
* Develop remote monitoring and analytics capabilities on non-GE equipment, partnering with GE Monitroing & Diagnostics teams, as well as Software & Analytics functions.
* Collaborate with GE Power Services oOEM team to produce oOEM offerings in a timely, cost-effective and technically-correct manner.
* Collaborate with product line and sales teams to develop strategies for growing fleet of monitored equipment, growing engineering consulting business, and understanding product life cycle cost to aid in rapid quoting and management of services products
* Responsible for product support, including emergent support, engineering outage processes, and strategic reliability and quality improvements
*Learn PSM technology obtained through acquisition to drive immediate competitiveness in the market
* Be part of the community of technical support within oOEM Engineering.
* Communicate fleet & product issues to global and local leadership, engineering teams, commercial teams, and product line leaders.
* Implement actions to continuously improve the responsiveness of engineering processes to customer/business needs.


* Bachelor of Science in Engineering with from 7 to 10 years of professional experience relevant to the position.
* Minimum of 5 years of technical experience as gas turbine design, evaluation or field services engineer.
* Strong knowledge of gas turbine and balance of plant equipment and demonstrated technical credibility.
* Knowledge of and prior experience in services engineering
* Prior experience working directly with gas turbine customers
* Strong leadership skills, capable of involving and influencing all levels of GE and customer organizations.
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills, coaching expertise and success working across internal business functions, other GE businesses.

Desired Characteristics

Preferably experienced in Siemens SGT6-5000F (W501F)
Prior experience in remote monitoring, design, product service/support, or life cycle engineering
Self-starter with energy and positive attitude and legacy of delivering on commitments in a fast paced dynamics environment
Continuous improvement "mindset" with an ability to identify, influence, and implement better ways to do an activity or process
Strong technical aptitude, including a solid understanding engineering tools and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to thrive in a highly matrix team environment
