Execute Final and Factory Acceptance Tests of LM6000 aero-derivative gas-turbine/generator packages and Jenbacher gas-motor container assembly using appropriate support documentation in schematics, drawings, test procedures, Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPIs), specifications, Bills of Material (BOM), customer specific instructions and project specific requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with Mechanical and Electrical Test Engineers and coordinate the work of Test Technicians to test packages to meet customer requirements.

  • Lead the electrical pre-test activity: Calibration and verification of electrical instrumentations (pressure, temperature, vibration, level and airflow transducers and switches, flame and chip detectors) and fire protection system components (alarm horn, light and gas detectors).

  • Responsible for the electrical connection of packages on the Test Line including high voltage AC (Load-bank), Motor Control Centre, control and signal connections, loop check, and insulation (High Voltage) test.

  • Responsible for installation and test of Turbine and Generator Control Panel (TCP & GCP) including governor (Woodward Micronet or MarkVI), control PLC (GE Fanuc), Human Machine Interface (HMI), vibration monitoring and protection system (Bently Nevada), fire protection, generator exciter and protection systems.

  • Responsible for the start-up of packages including calibration of gas turbine servo and fuel metering valves, check of start permissives, then monitoring and running equipment from the control panel according to the Factory test procedure.

  • Perform LM6000 gas turbine/generator package full load string test and Jenbacher gas-motor dynamic test at the production site according to the factory acceptance test plan and procedures including the test of gas-turbine/ gas-motor, generator, fuel management system, alarm and shutdown devices, auxiliary systems and unit vibration.

  • Use electrical devices and instruments for above mentioned activities and test such as 13kV/50MW Loadbank, Switchgear, MCC, insulation tester, Bently Nevada simulator, function generator, process and pressure calibrator, power supply, oscilloscope, frequency meter, multimeter, clamp ammeter, etc.

  • Use computer systems as networking, HMI and PLC programming, control panel operating and troubleshooting, application testing and equipment configuration.

  • Work with designers, project managers, and customers to test packages to meet customer requirements.

  • Help quality and manufacturing engineers and workers to develop the best manufacturing practice in accordance with the customer CTQs

    • Test Line Leader: Information provision on a day-to-day basis on the current issue.
      Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and statistics.



    • Technical University or College degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Certificate of work on high voltage system is an advantage.


    • Turbine-generator, gas engine or power plant operation/ service/ installation knowledge or experience is an advantage
    • Experience in operating or installation of turbine control systems, generator exciter, protection and vibration monitoring systems is an advantage
    • Production experience in electrical industry is an advantage.
