The Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical leadership for the production team. Responsibilities include providing documentation and floor support associated with safety, manufacturing and quality methods, tooling, and equipment. Aggressively initiate new processes and methods that will improve safety, reduce product cost and/or improve product quality.

Essential Responsibilities

As The Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

  • Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production
  • Participate in new product introductions through process layout, tool development, and new equipment
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance through Validation & Verification
  • Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations and assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas
  • Develop manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI), documenting changes and driving process improvements
  • Drive LEAN initiatives, and engage in Six Sigma tools for process improvements
  • Manage multiple projects by providing scheduling, resource management, budget control, and EHS compliance
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and cycles


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree, (or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in production, engineering or troubleshooting of PC / server based systems, or High School diploma with 5 years of experience in production, engineering or troubleshooting of PC / server based systems)

Desired Characteristics

  • Programming skills using MATLAB, LabVIEW,CNC (N or G codes), and 3D printing (MakerBot or equivalent)
  • Good team worker in international teams Good analytical and planning skills
  • Experience with using Computer AidedDrafting (CAD) - AutoCAD, Pro-E, or SolidWorks
  • Experience with Statistical ProcessControl (SPC), IMR, XBar-R, P/NP Charts
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, Project, Visio, and SharePoint
  • Previous Project Experience; Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
  • Ability to provide clear concise updates, to multiple audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Prior experience with Lean manufacturing is preferred
  • Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
