The Package Engineer - BOP prepares the Technical Dossier for Cranes, Elevators, Air compressors, Gas Production Plant , CPU/ WT Plant, Tanks, Valves, Chemical dozing, Misc. pumps, Debris filters, COLTS, Fuel
oil System, ACW/MCW system etc. ensuring that it complies with the
contract requirements and time schedule for delivery of equipment
and documents. He/She finalizes the technical contract of the
equipment for projects. He/ She shall also support proposals for his scope of equipment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • The Package Engineer - BOP has the technical and time schedule responsibility for the
    engineering work and/or services assigned to him/her
  • Support Lead Engineer in
    their project activities and report to the LE the status of the assigned tasks
  • Ensure
    that he/she is always up to date for the available new technologies and the current codes and
  • Provide input for the preparation of system time
  • Prepare the Technical Dossier for Procurement to issue for quotation
    ensuring that it complies with the contract document requirements and contract time schedule for
    delivery of equipment and documents
  • Support the preparation of the Quality Control
    Plan (QCP)
  • Negotiate and agree with the suppliers the technical solution of the
  • Prepare the technical tender analysis (supplier evaluation) including
    comparison with basis
  • Prepare and sign the final equipment technical
  • Provide support to Procurement to define the technical input to the
    liquidated damages and guarantee document
  • Technically manage the equipment
  • Support Procurement in the management of all claims and variations
    from the subcontractor
  • Manage interfaces between the equipment subcontractor
    and all internal participants and external partners, and take action if necessary
  • In
    case of unavoidable deviation between GE and supplier requirements, ask for approval by the LE/
  • Participate in design and/or technical reviews/ design freeze (internal/external)
    and ensure that corrective actions defined by the reviews are closed on
  • Represent the assigned scope at meetings with the customer if
  • Ensure on time equipment follow-up (EFU-process) for the preparation of
    the packing list
  • Participate in acceptance test at the supplier's as required and
    prepare the corresponding acceptance checklist
  • Review of O&M and erection
    documentation and support the erection and commissioning activities
  • Prepare reply
    of Non Conformance Reports (NCR) and take the necessary actions
  • Prepare asbuilt
    documentation as required


Education &

Mandatory (MUST): Degree in Mechanical

Desirable (NICE TO HAVE): Specialization in Power Plant, Course of
studies appropriate to the technical field involved

Professional Experience
(Experience gained on the job
during professional life)

Mandatory (MUST): 4 - 7 years Engineering
experience in power, oil & gas industry with at least three years in power plant design, good knowledge
appropriate to the technical activity involved, including interface clarification beyond this activity,
Knowledge of codes and standards

Desirable (NICE TO
HAVE): Site experience

Functional Know-how

Knowledge and application of design methods, rules
and tools to specify the system/components, good skills in the use of computer applications and
computer tools (Microsoft Office, Access), has a good knowledge of Engineering, Design and
Project Management tools and methods
