The Deputy Compliance Officer, Asia - Steam Power Systems will be responsible for supporting the growth of the business and assisting the Chief Compliance Officer in driving and integrating the compliance agenda globally across Steam Power Systems by partnering with the Regional GE Power Compliance Leaders. This role will cover China, India, ASEAN, Japan, Korea and ANZ.

Essential Responsibilities

The Deputy Compliance Officer, Asia - Steam Power Systems will report the Chief Compliance Officer, GE Power - Steam Power Systems. This role is an integral part of the Compliance team and will be responsible for executing and monitoring the GE Steam Power Compliance program and agenda across all covered regions. The leader will drive completion of transactional items supporting growth in Deal Due Diligence, Third party management, Project Risk mitigation, Investigation Response, Training/Communications and Testing & Monitoring across all covered regions.

Key responsibilities will include
• Deal Diligence: Ensure rigorous programs to identify, manage and abate the company's key risks, including:
- Improper Payments: drive rigorous process on third party diligence and monitoring, gifts and entertainment, business commission monitoring;
- Competitive Information: drive rigorous process on competitive contacts.

- Collect and report on information about risk areas: e.g., early warning system, metrics & testing.
• Third Party management: Ensure that all Consortia, EPCs, JV's, Mergers & Acquisitions have the right processes to support compliance priorities for negotiation, diligence, on-boarding, integration, testing & monitoring;
• Project Risk: Ensure coverage on all major projects utilizing the regional compliance resources. Drive a global effort to identify and mitigate key risks across the Steam Power Portfolio and coordinate with the Project Management Office to ensure seamless execution.
• Investigation Response: Assume the coordination role for the Spirit & Letter response program in the business, including ownership for investigations, ensuring a vibrant rhythm exists to engage leaders on integrity at all levels and establishing a world-class culture of compliance. Including leading investigations in country / region and manage the network of distributed investigators
• Training/Communications: Work with the GE Power Team and the Steam Power Systems Team to develop and implement an effective training and communications plan. Monitor completion against plan and drive follow up processes to ensure coverage and completion. Drive the annual GE Power Risk Roll up exercise for GE Steam Power.
• Testing & Monitoring: Implement a process to monitor, track, follow-up, and report on key initiatives identified by GE Steam Power's Compliance Review Board

Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful, you would possess,
• University graduate
• Prior experience with Improper Payment prevention programs, establishment and operation of corporate ethics/compliance programs
• 10+ years' experience in related areas (compliance, legal, audit, etc.) with strong performance
• Investigation & Open Reporting experience (or equivalent)
• Ability & willingness to travel up to 20% of time
