Support development, implementation, & continuous improvement of configuration management processes for all Renewable Energy Products. Leverage contemporary and emerging digital technologies to improve productivity. Execute accurate deliverables for NPI, New Units, & RePower on time. Support delivery of advanced PLM solutions & execute the Design Anywhere, Build Anywhere, and Service Everywhere strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing and service to complete configuration activities as well as support site specific unit BoM requirements (both new units and RePower).
• As configuration product owner, responsible for the cut-in and maintenance of product offerings (configuration features and/or products) in PLM system.
• Be responsible for the PS data quality. And Identify opportunities to improve Unit BoM management on regular basis.
• Complete critical business deliverables (NPI, Fulfillment and tools/process development).
• Be responsible for and Consult to cross-teams on parts, products, and related data management throughout the entire product lifecycle in PLM
• Support product structure strategy to break product down into systems, subsystems, functions, parts that individually or in combination with other parts perform a specific function. Maintain/improve the product structure/ data to ensure the quality of BoM proactively.
• Support the GE Digital Industrial Strategy, including Digital Thread, Brilliant Factory, Digital Twin, and Digital DNA (Understand how it relates to Renewables PLM Strategy).
• Support testing and training activities for new CM/PLM processes.
• Part types - understand the numerous purposes, requirements, & behaviors. Develop part types that ensure appropriate use and prevent misuse.
• Specifications - understand all types of documents that are used to control part requirements.
• Classification - create/maintain hierarchy of part families as well as attributes, attribute values, and attribute groups.
• Change Management - support evolution of change management process to improve alignment of product definition and physical items.
• Identify configuration requirements (process & data) from marketing, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, shipping, installation, and services.
• Update ISO documents (QMS) and training materials to reflect configuration process changes.
• Leverage external/internal best practices to identify continuous process improvement opportunities.
• Audit configuration processes to ensure compliance and consistency.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate learning capability and able to learn Renewable Energy configuration and product definition procedures quickly.
• Open minded and team player with ability to work at all levels of organizations.
• Self-oriented and proven team leadership skills. Hold System thinking and quality mindset
• Minimum of 5 years Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) Experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering position.
• Proficiency with MS Office Tools
• Flexible to assignment per business urgency , Willingness to travel occasionally

• Six Sigma Green or Black belt certified (GE Employees Only)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration and change management, with demonstrated successful implementation and usage.
• Project Management mind-set that includes planning, schedule commitments, and efficient resource control.
