• Responsible for the analysis of wind data from proposed and existing wind farm sites, provide technical proposal of wind turbine selection, farm layout.
• Analyze collected data and predict and assess the potential wind energy at the project sites and is familiar with related software tools, such as WAsP, WAsP Engineering, WindPro and CFD software...
• Advise Regional managers on wind related matters including siting of meteorological masts, anemometers and equipment, collection of meteorological data etc.
• Provide support for response to all customer technical inquiries and communications, as well as review of customer specifications and site data for owned projects.
• Provide full technical support for customer meeting and product promotion. Participate site survey and optimize layout.
• Participate/lead the wind resource analysis process development and continue improvement.
• Direct and co-ordinate the activities of outside meteorological engineers and consultants in support of the Regional Managers during the development phase of projects.
• Manage workload effectively and complete assigned tasks on time
• Flexible for extra/urgent task assignment per business needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

• BS or above in engineering sciences, meteorology or equivalent
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, creative problem solving skills.
• Self directed and proven leadership skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skills to work in global team.
• Willingness to travel, demonstrated ability to work independently on site issues.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (verbal & written).

Desired Characteristics

• Green Belt trained / certified (GE employees only)
• > 2 years experiences on boundary layer meteorology, turbulence and wind layout design.
• Project Management mind-set that includes aggressive planning, schedule commitments, and efficient resource controllership.
