As a Senior IT Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for the development and deployment of the data hub/warehouse platform for the GE Power PMX (SAP) platform to drive analytics, reporting, and data strategies across the enterprise. You will collaborate with all levels of business stakeholders to implement data initiatives that optimize business performance.

Essential Responsibilities

This will be the single largest data platform across GE that connects multiple P&Ls within GE Power and will house approximately 30% + of all GE Operating profit data. Along with the PMX ERP platform, this data hub will also integrate with other key subsystems like our Enterprise Standard Shared Services tools; S&OP tool kit; Supplier Collaboration platforms; MES platforms; PLM platforms, GE Power and Corporate Data Lakes etc. This will be the single largest data hub which will model analytics around the Digital Thread that is being driven by the PMX ERP program.

As the Senior IT Business Intelligence Analyst, you will:
  • Effectively engage global teams and expert peers to develop and deploy designs, standards, and solutions for the data hub / warehouse
  • Develop and implement the integration strategy with the underlying ERP, MES, PLM and other system platforms
  • Implement middleware standards for near to real time / batch data updates
  • Execute the broader instance strategy around the data warehouse and reporting platforms
  • Develop and implement the analytical / reporting strategy over the Data Hub
  • Build cockpit views for the HQ team and build canned reports for some common metrics across GE Power (example: Backlog, OTD, Inventory, Obsolescence, etc.)
  • Develop and deploy a self-service platform for the P&L reporting needs, where the P&L teams can define P&L specific reporting
  • Support leadership as a contributor to the development of vision and future direction of data / predictive analysis
  • Develop and implement the leading and lagging indicators for the overall business and develop vision and strategy around intuitive intelligence
  • Collaborate on the development and execute the implementation of the mobility tech stack for some of the key data needs for the P&Ls
  • Partner with the HQ operations team to define the key metrics and drive availability of those on a mobile platform
  • Manage and perform governance of the standards around data quality and work in conjunction with the business units on data quality, performance metrics, analytics and predictive analysis
  • Program and Project management responsibilities, including client communication, schedule and cost management/tracking, prioritization, and presentation of deliverables
  • Continuously strengthen own technical expertise
  • Teach and mentor peers within team of developers and architects to develop their technical expertise


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or any other related Engineering Field
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience with Business Intelligence platforms and at least one implementation / integration with SAP ERP
  • Minimum of 5 years of working knowledge on SAP BW, Big Data and Cloud based analytics platform
