The Wind Fleet Performance Engineer will provide technical support to the local field technicians in high - level cases (via phone and also at site). The Wind Fleet Performance Engineer will analyze the failure and availability statistics of the local installed fleet. You will work in close cooperation with the Functional Technical Support (component tutor) to increase the turbine performance, based on statistical data.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Wind Fleet Performance Engineer, you will:
  • Support the SAM's (Senior Audit Manager)/ Regional Managers in all technical needs and during customer visits
  • Work with first level support to identify failure trend in an early phase and to initiate corrective actions
  • Provide technical supervision for retrofits and validation of performance increase
  • Support the Functional Technical Support and the Product Service Engineering during Root Cause Analysis (RCA) programs
  • Provide Technical Support / Repairs / Escalation for issues that have been problematic and escalated from Services team
  • Improve pre - COD (Commercial Operating Date) issue resolution with clearer ownership and faster response


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Marine, Computer or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university

  • Associates degree with 2 years of field services or engineering experience

  • High School Degree / GED with 4 years of field services or engineering experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering or field services experience

  • Ability and willingness to travel 25%
  • Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine

  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications
