Within the Renewable Power sector, the Hydro market is expected to grow in the comings years especially in the medium/small, service and digital markets. Hydro has today a global industrial footprint in Europe, China, India, North-America and Latin America. The addition of Hydro will complement the existing GE energy portfolio, helping to build a leading GE Renewable Energy.

Essential Responsibilities

Support the execution of Hydro Projects managed from the Turkish offices including contract/variation orders analysis, Risk & Opportunity analysis and contractual correspondence.

Assume responsibility for project contractual activities from hand over from sales until Acceptance of the Plant and all relevant commercial obligations are complete and all relevant commercial issues are resolved/settled.

Identify customer/consortium and other third party obligations and develop and implement Project Claim Strategy.

Liaise with Project Sourcing Manager to ensure appropriate schedules for subcontracts are produced and maintained to support Project Claim Strategy.

Support the management of risks and opportunities by developing and implementing appropriate commercial action plans.

Preserve GE's rights and entitlements as provided in the Contract and ensure proper notices are given in line with contract requirements. Support claims to and from third parties as required.

Control back-charges from site and ensure appropriate recovery from third parties.

Manage customer variation requests and orders on Site.

Manage project insurances, submission, monitoring and settlement of insurance claims in accordance with policies.

Establish and implement Site specific commercial procedures particularly with regard to claims, insurance, correspondence and notifications.

Support and guide the site team on general contract issues and clarification of contractual and legal queries, if required by referring to legal.

Provide commercial management support as required in the event of a potential dispute.

Undertake any other commercial tasks as instructed or requested by the Project Director and/or management.

The position is based on Ankara.
Frequent travels and stays of some days on Sites in Europe or Asia are to be expected.

Qualifications/Requirements

University diploma in- alternatively - business administration, economical engineer, legal and commercial management, or technical engineer with complementary studies, or adequate experience
5 years of Experience in infrastructure project business (even other branches)
2 years of Experience of Negotiation with external partners (Contract Management Procurement, Sales etc...)
Good understanding of various legal systems.
Excellent use of IT tools
Good general technical understanding
Ensure proactive and collaborative atmosphere with stakeholders
Gain, disseminate and train awareness of commercial and contractual topics of the allocated projects within the project teams
Communicate precisely, comprehensively and at adequate complexity at all levels of the internal and external organizations (up to internal general management and customer/supplier executive management) depending on the audience.
