The Technical Operator, Blade Dynamicsntry-level manufacturing technicians needed. Come join an exciting team in the wind energy industry as a Technical Operator, Blade Dynamics!

Essential Responsibilities

As the Technical Operator, Blade Dynamics, you will:
Assemble and possibly test electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for wind turbine components including installation, adhesive bonding, drilling, tapping, torqueing, lubricating and wiring
Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, Standard operating procedures, and wiring diagrams
Efficiently use calibrated equipment and machinery as part of assembly processes and component manufacturing
Utilize various hand tools and other standard tools to complete work tasks
Utilize the proper chemicals and be able to understand safety data and shelf life information
Accurately inspect the condition of incoming hardware and materials
Follow EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) compliance for wind turbine assembly, component manufacturing and testing
Assure complete and accurate quality documentation
Assist in implementation of wind turbine documentation
Initiate and drive process improvements
Operate forklift, overhead crane, and other relevant hand operated equipment


High school Diploma / GED
Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts
Ability and willingness to lift 45 lbs.
Ability and willingness to climb stairs or ladders to heights two and three stories above ground level repeatedly during a shift
Ability and willingness to wear standard PPE, to include hard-hat, safety glasses, respirators, supplied air respirators, and hearing protection
Ability and willingness to walk distances that may exceed a mile and be able to work in areas exceeding 90 decibels along with hearing protection
Ability and willingness to stand for 10 hours during a shift
Ability and willingness to be exposed to chemicals and heavy machinery used in the manufacturing of wind turbine blades
Ability and willingness to work in temperatures greater than 100 degrees F and/or less than 32 degrees F
