The Commercial Manager (CM) will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of all aspects of the ITO phase of proposal management including proposal development, risk management and commercial mitigation, price calculation, and issue resolution for proposals to which he/she is assigned to support Hong Kong sub-region.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure Policy 5.0 (R Process) is followed for each opportunity
• Perform initial risk evaluation and determine feasibility and bid compliance concerns
• Provide full proposal leadership from initial enquiry to deal closure and handover (track key dates and proposal submission deadlines)
• Support technical scope and pricing development
• Coordinate with various internal teams in developing overall bid strategy and completing the proposal - sales, finance, execution, risk, legal, engineering, etc.
• Ensure Risk Checklist & DOA are correctly reviewed & completed for all proposals.
• Propose and support formal R2 to obtain pricing/deviation approvals where required by DOA
• Generate final proposal with approved deviations/language as required
• Document all deal related documents
• Support sales in deal closing process as & when appropriate.
• Send order acknowledgements, obtain contract signatures and ensure internal order booking is completed on-time
• Conduct formal R3 review to identify and handover execution requirements/documents


• Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited university or college
• Knowledge on Power Plant Product, Customer and Industry
• At least 5 years of experience in industry-related commercial, sales or application engineering

Desired Characteristics

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is preferred
• Prior experience in bid preparation, bidding, negotiation, and closing large and complex agreements is preferred
• Prior experience on execution of steam, generator, nuclear or boiler is a plus
• Experience within Contractual Service and Power Service business is preferred.
• Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
• Strong coordination and influencing skills
• Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools (SFDC, Excel, etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication skills both in English and Chinese
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
