Service Director responsible for the operations performance of MYA/Transactional contracts and power plant customer management in a sub-region of China, ensure to deliver the long term profitable growth and customer services excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the assigned sub-region's financial performance of Multi-years Services Agreements & Transactional contracts, lead the team and coordinate with PS support functions to achieve business goals & objectives.
• Responsible for driving portfolio growth and identify execution strategies and driving initiatives through partnering closely with PS ITO team to ensure for profitable and long-term growth, oversee new and extra work proposals development and Job Cost Estimation (JCE).
• Responsible for all levels customer relationship and events, taking lead on customer issues resolution, new unit warranty, delivering customer satisfaction with GE performance.
• Guide the team to follow up all critical processes and ensuring operation metrics rigor, timing, financial deliverables and contract management.
• Interface with Parts, Services, Repair, CM&U Project and other functional organizations to make sure customer expectations are being met.
• Ensures GE processes and policies are compliant within the country on all business aspects: Quality Assurance; Tax Compliance; Revenue Recognition; Import-Export; Past due & inventory; Proper & timely billing; EHS and others as required.
• Manage group of Customer Fulfillment Managers (CFMs), Outage Managers (OMs) and Technical Field Advisor (TFA) located in the assigned sub-region, which includes salary planning, performance appraisal, career counseling, and disciplinary action as required.


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality
• Minimum 8 years' experience in services and related operations
• Strong customer service and quality mindset
• Proven ability to lead in a global environment
• Exceptional communication, presentation and team building skills
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and planning skills
• Must be able to travel within the regions (50%)

Desired Characteristics

• Additional managerial qualifications (MBA, DMS) advantageous
• Excellent communicative and interpersonal skills
• Excellent technical knowledge of gas and steam turbine generating technologies. Previous in depth experience of Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures associated with China power generating plant operation
• Affluent knowledge of commercial, finance, legal and related regulations and law
• Knowledge of Power Services information systems
• Green/Black Belt certified (GE Employees Only)
• Field Engineer Program or Direct Hire Program Graduate
• Traditional Quality Process (Audits, QMS, Continuous Improvement) Experience
