The Electrical Engineer Plant Construction has engineering responsibility for project-specific design and execution of container projects for the GE Reciprocating Engines business. Providing project documentation and engineering support for Jenbacher HQ. Work closely together with GSCM teams as primary interface for engineering on technical issues with manufacturing, sourcing, project management, HQ Engineering, field installation, and end customer.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Engineering & Design of Measurement & control systems, synchronization equipment and power parts for combined heat & power plants (CHP)
  • Programming of PLC Software and bus coupling to customer facing networks and creation of the visualization software
  • Creation of wiring diagrams using CAD systems and customer specific documentation for the electrical part of combined heat & power plants
  • Attend project meetings for clarifications with the customer in house or directly on site
  • Occasionally participation at commissioning's on site
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously


Qualifications/Requirements


  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in creating wiring diagrams using CAD system
  • Self-starter, willingness to work in an international team
  • Able to work under pressure and deadline constraint
  • Flexible mindset and ability to adapt to customer needs
  • Eager to work, learn & develop in a dynamic business
  • Communication skills in English
  • Fresh graduates are also welcome


Desired Characteristics


  • Strong understanding of GE gas engines and packages
  • Good communications skills in German
  • Manufacturing and testing experience
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office tools and Control SW development tools)
  • Experience with Control systems and/or PLCs is an advantage
  • Ability and willingness to travel when required
  • Proven Knowledge in C# or C+ programming is an advantage
