"The Repair Ops Intern provides assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Repair team in the effort to achieve a functional strategy for localization of resources, tools, logistics, quality and convertibility.
• Provide general technical and logistic assistance to internal customers in the repair process of GE products.
• Identify gaps in the current repair processes (CS and TX) for the LATAM region and help to formulate procedures to enhance current processes. Work closely with the Repair, OSS and Convertibility managers.
• Provide support with the tracking of repair Demand Cases and support CSL/OM/CFM with the disposition of requirements from the OSS team.
• Work with the Forecasting team to identify future events with repair needs and coordinate with Repair team.
• Establish a pacing for the repair activities in LATAM. Trends and indicators.
• Organize information coming from the Sales team, repair fulfillment team (reports) and operations team in a functional mode.
• Provide interpretation of data and technical instruction
• Support Repair team to manage claims from customer, lessons learned and best practices. Issue internal report with recommendations. Identify customer needs.
• Assist in scheduling repair activities and workload
• Assure that equipment and parts meet established schedules
• Review reported malfunctions and identify / analyze any undesirable trends
• Anticipate requirements beyond those that immediately affect the program and assist in implementing actions to satisfy those requirements


Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
